Security Officer – Unarmed (Part Time)

Pay: $15.50/hour
+$0.25/hour military & active-duty differential
KRE Security, LLC is hiring Unarmed Security Officers for a permanent part-time weekend assignment in Tamaqua, Pennsylvania. This position is ideal for dependable officers seeking consistent weekend evening hours in a professional, structured environment.
This is a non-rotating post with clear responsibilities and predictable duties.
Schedule – Part Time
- Saturday–Sunday | 2:30 PM – 10:30 PM
- Consistent weekend evening schedule
- Ideal for supplemental income, retirees, or second-job candidates
What You’ll Be Doing
- Maintain a visible, professional security presence on site
- Conduct routine foot and mobile patrols
- Monitor access points, alarms, and site conditions
- Observe, document, and respond to incidents or safety concerns
- Complete daily activity and incident reports (Belfry Software)
- Enforce post orders, site policies, and standard operating procedures
- Communicate clearly with supervisors, clients, and fellow officers
Requirements
- Minimum 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED
- Prior experience preferred, not required, in:
- Unarmed security
- Military service
- Law enforcement
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Valid driver’s license & reliable transportation
- Must pass a background check
- Required in-person orientation prior to assignment
Pay & Benefits

- Overtime pay for hours worked over 40/week
- Eligibility for full-time status at 30+ hours/week
