Pay: $23.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:15 AM–2:30 PM

KRE Security, LLC is seeking dependable, professional Armed School Security Officers to join our team for the 2026–2027 school year.
This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference by helping maintain a safe and secure learning environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. We are looking for individuals with sound judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
Please Note: Candidates must successfully complete an interview with both KRE Security, LLC and the client before placement.
Position Highlights
- $23.00 per hour
- Consistent weekday daytime schedule
- Full-time employment during the school year
- Overtime paid after 40 hours worked
- Military and retired law enforcement differential of an additional $0.25 per hour
- Benefits eligibility for employees working 30 or more hours per week
- Paid time off accruing up to 40 hours, beginning after the probationary period

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a visible armed security presence on school property.
- Conduct interior and exterior patrols of the campus.
- Monitor entrances and verify visitors.
- Enforce school safety policies and follow emergency procedures.
- Respond professionally to emergencies and security incidents.
- Maintain accurate daily activity logs and incident reports.
- Coordinate with school administration and local law enforcement as needed.
- Help protect students, staff, and visitors while supporting a safe learning environment.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must meet the following requirements:

Valid Pennsylvania Act 235 Certification
- High school diploma or GED
- Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance
- FBI fingerprint clearance
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
- Professional appearance, sound judgment, and strong communication skills
Preferred Experience
Experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred:
- Security or school security
- Law enforcement
- Military service
- Campus security
- Corrections
